Commercial Tire Technician Jobs, Employment in Hutchins, TX 75141
We are seeking a skilled Commercial Tire Technician to perform tire-related services safely and efficiently for a variety of commercial vehicles. This role involves in-shop tire installation, repair, and maintenance, as well as upkeep of equipment and service vehicles. The ideal candidate will follow all company policies and federal safety standards to ensure high-quality service and safety at all times.
- Perform advanced tire services such as match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and correcting radial runout as needed.
- Inflate tires to manufacturer-recommended PSI based on load requirements.
- Clean, inspect, and maintain all tire service equipment and clean and organize the shop daily to ensure proper working condition and a safe, efficient work environment.
- Assist outside sales with pulling tires from inventory and loading as needed.
- Assist the General Manager with monthly/quarterly inventory, including weekend work as necessary to complete the process.
- Inspect tires to determine repairable conditions and complete necessary repairs.
- Remove tires for retreading or off-site repair when appropriate.
- Properly dispose of used, damaged, or non-repairable tires in accordance with company policy and environmental regulations.
- Complete and submit all required service and billing paperwork accurately and on time.
- Adhere to company procedures for checking tires in and out, ensuring accountability and proper documentation.
- Comply fully with OSHA regulations and company safety procedures.
- Always wear PPE, use safety cages, and follow established protocols for safe tire handling and equipment use.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School or GED preferred
- At least 2 years of relevant service experience is preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license including being at least 21 years of age.
- Must be able to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment as part of a team.
- Must be a self-starter and willing to take the initiative, able and willing to work without direct supervision.
- Willing to follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner.
- Good oral and written communication ability.
